Days at the Farm
Days at the Farm are for children age 5 – 10 and are filled with opportunities and experiences based around farm life. Children have the opportunity to learn about where food comes from by assisting in everyday chores such as picking eggs, harvesting fruit and vegetables from the garden, preparing foods for their snacks, milling and making bread, milking goats, feeding calves, working with fiber from our own sheep, and experiencing nature through walks in our woods and pastures.
Days at the Farm cost $75.00 per child. Hours are 9am-3pm. See the farm event schedule (on the right side of the page) for upcoming Days at the farm.
Private Parties
Nezinscot Farm offers traditional English tea parties in the tea house, pizza party barn dances, 4-course gourmet organic dinners, and other opportunities to stage your special event. Family Weekends
An opportunity to experience farm life alongside the Varney family, while enjoying Gloria’s home-cooked meals and staying in the yurt (above). $500/weekend for a family of 4, includes meals and lodging. Homesteading & Life Skills School
Experience a hands-on approach in sustainable, organic and biodynamic farming. Learn the basics of life working on a farm, managing and maintaining a farm business, environmental stewardship, and how to live a balanced life whether you choose to farm or not. Monthly, seasonal, and full year programs available.

Womens’ Retreats
Our farm is open for individual and group retreats in a comfortable setting. Retreats can include opportunities for cooking and baking, gardening, working with farm animals, cheesemaking, fiber arts, and canning. There are also possibilities for Yoga and meditation. The rate is $200 per day, per person, which includes lodging and home-cooked, family-style, organic meals. Email Gloria for group rates.
Mens’ Fishing Retreats
The farm offers a special fly fishing retreat on a private and pristine mile-long stretch of the beautiful Nezinscot River in Turner. The rate is $200 per day, per person, which includes lodging and home-cooked, family-style organic meals. Contact Gloria for group rates.
Life Skills Teen Summer Camp
In the summer of 2011, teens aged 13-17 will have the opportunity to experience life on the farm while gaining skills in animal care, gardening, food preservation, fiber arts, sewing and baking. The overnight camp runs Monday – Friday and is $800 for the week. Dates will be posted in February.
